60th International Tekirdağ Cherry Festival 2026

The 60th Tekirdağ International Cherry Festival, organized by Süleymanpaşa Municipality, will be held on June 11-14 of 2026. The Tekirdağ Cherry Festival is a traditional event held annually in June. It was first celebrated in 1962 under the name "Cherry Celebration," and in 1964 it transformed into the Cherry Festival. Later, it became a traditional festival, continuing with a wide range of cultural and entertainment programs. The Tekirdağ Mayors chair the celebration committee, and the festival is held for four days in June, usually the first or second week. The festival includes parades, exhibitions, shows, lantern processions, night concerts, cherry competitions, sailing competitions, festival beauty contests, picnics, and concludes with closing concerts. Throughout the week, there is a significant increase in domestic tourism in the city. Thousands of Tekirdağ residents flock to the city's coastline and entertainment venues to fully enjoy the festival. Visitors from many countries around the world come to the Cherry Festival and present special performances. At the same time, 1-2 famous artists give concerts every evening in the Tekirdağ coastal area. Fireworks displays are held and amusement parks are set up. Many companies also have the opportunity to promote their products in the stalls they open. Cherries hold a special place for Tekirdağ with their appearance, taste, and the festival held in their name!
