Squares, monuments, markets and streets in Istanbul are empty and have no people at all as the curfew has devastated Turkey's largest city. The Turkish government has decided to ban two-day traffic (Saturday 11/4 and Sunday 12/4) in 31 provinces, including Istanbul, Ankara and other major cities, in a bid to limit the spread of the new virus COVID-19. The bans came into effect at midnight on Friday, April 10, and will end at midnight on Sunday, April 12.
